DewMo Watermark/Logo on my photos? Did I miss the memo?

Why is DewMo putting their watermark on MY images? I didn't see that in the TOS, nor did I agree to it when I signed up for this "service".

The TOS clearly states that the users retain rights to their work, yet DewMo is putting their logo/watermark on my uploaded pictures.

What gives?? :mad:

Thanks for the reply. And especially thank you for being open minded. It wouldn't have been such a big deal if I knew it was going to happen. I would have still signed up but I likely would not have uploaded any of my better work because of it.

Now though, I am not so worried about uploading my better stuff.

I don't have any problem with the watermark, so long as it is promoted as an advertisement. I put my signature on photos I post, anyways, so it's no big deal. If anyone wants a copy of my photos without watermarks or signatures, I will gladly sell it to them.

We apologize for any inconvenience Matt! Certainly our goal is not to make our members mad. With the launch of any new website, things will change and be updated from time to time. Unfortunately we cannot make everyone happy, but we will do our best to assist however we can. Our intention with the DewMo watermark was to help promote our site and bring in new members. We never had any intention of claiming rights to members work. With so many details involved in getting our community ready we did overlook adding a statement about it in the TOS. Thanks to you...Matt, we now feel that the watermark issue could cause further problems with future members. For this reason we will be removing this function so DewMo watermarks do not appear on future images. Unfortunately we cannot remove the watermark from photos that have been uploaded already. It is up to each member to decide if they want to re-upload their photos so the watermark won't appear.
